A figurative work examining intimacy, imbalance, and absorption.

The male figure occupies the dominant mass of the composition, intact and continuous. The female figure emerges in the upper body, her arm resting against his shoulder, but as the forms descend her body dissolves into his. The boundary between them collapses, leaving a single, uneven shape.

Thick impasto and saturated contour obscure separation rather than clarify it. Below, a fractured reflection moves across disturbed water while fuchsia flowers drift at the surface, marking the scene without softening it.

This work depicts closeness carried to its limit, where union becomes consumption.
